N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMp): A Strongly Polar Aprotic Solvent
1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, also known as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMp), is a strongly polar aprotic solvent with a polarity of 4.09 D. It is a colorless liquid at room temperature with a unique combination of physicochemical properties.
NMp has a high boiling point, and low freezing point, and is miscible with water at all temperatures. It has good solvency for a wide range of organic and inorganic compounds and is used in the petrochemical, polymer, and battery industries as a solvent.
NMp is prone to decomposition reactions when it encounters air and water during use. In the absence of water and air, the decomposition temperature is about 350°C.In the presence of oxygen and water at the same time, NMp can undergo hydrolysis and oxidation reactions at a low temperature of about 120-200°C.

I was unable to locate the adaptor for my older Casio electric piano. The connectors on my other reverse polarity adapter wouldn't fit the piano insert securely enough to stay in without needing to be held in place or taped on. I brought it home after asking at Guitar Center what adapters they use, but it didn't work. I took the piano to Best Buy, made some inquiries, and purchased what they recommended, but it didn't work. When I returned it to Guitar Center to exchange the adapter I purchased, a man gave me a long lecture about how Casio occasionally uses its own "special adapters"... His coworker then awkwardly turns around and stares at the piano, saying, "Dude, you need a reverse polarity adapter." I went to ZOLSEM and looked for a piano. This one was priced similarly to the others, so I bought it. I can now play my piano without having to change the adapter every three minutes. Overly drawn-out review?
