Like other 3M products, this one is excellent. I resealed a Pilothouse to Deck seam that had started to leak with it. The old caulk/seal had shrunk, dried out, and split. I removed it and put 4000 back into the joint. I used acetone to clean the area, then I used a caulking gun to apply 4000 while masking off the area past the seam. Re-sealing the leaky junction was made simple by the sealant's easy flow and complete filling of the joint. Because this product is waterproof, if it ends up anywhere you don't want it, cleanup will be difficult. It just smears rather than smooths when applied with a moist, gloved finger. Use just enough to completely fill your joint. Removing the masking will "cleaned" up any small overages. The 4000 was applied to a joint that was nearly forty feet long overall, and the cure period was not so short that it was difficult for me to remove the tape without also removing the caulk. It sealed the leak and created an elegant seam. In contrast to 5200, 4000 can be cut out with a knife at some fu, rather than drying or curing to the point where it needs to be ground out.
