Description: N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), a nitrogen heterocyclic compound, molecular formula C5H9NO, boiling point 204°C, a slightly ammoniacal flavor of the liquid, miscible with water in any proportion, almost with all solvents (ethanol, acetaldehyde, ketone, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc.) completely mixed.

NMP is a polar aprotic transfer solvent with high boiling point, strong polarity, low viscosity, strong dissolution ability, no corrosion, little toxicity, strong biodegradation ability, low volatility, excellent chemical stability and thermal stability.

Production process: NMP industrialization time is long, the technology is mature, its production process from 1,4 butanediol (BDO) dehydrogenation to produce gamma-butanolactone (GBL), and then gamma-butanolactone and monomethylamine amination reaction to produce products, then distillation and purification to finished NMP.

Application field

N-methylpyrrolidone is an excellent advanced solvent, which is used in petrochemical, pesticide, medicine, electronic materials and other fields. It can be used as acetylene concentration, syngas desulfurization, lubricating oil refining, lubricating oil antifreeze agent, olefin extraction agent, solvent for polymerization of insoluble engineering plastics, agricultural herbicide, insulation material, integrated circuit production, PVC exhaust recycling, cleaning agent, dye additives, dispersant and so on.

Use:
Micro level: Used in liquid crystal, semiconductor, circuit board and other high-end microelectronics industry.
Electronic grade: Used in lithium battery, aramid fiber, PPS, ultrafiltration membrane and other industries.
Pharmaceutical grade: Used in pharmaceutical, medical, veterinary solvents, intermediates and other industries
Industrial grade: Used in acetylene enrichment, butadiene extraction, electrical insulation materials, high-grade coatings, pesticide additives, ink, pigments, industrial cleaning agents and other industries.
