[EVE production capacity expansion pace accelerated]
This year, the EVE capacity expansion pace accelerated, not lack of large investment. the evening of January 18, EVE announced that it intends to sign an investment cooperation agreement with the People’s Government of Jinyang City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China on the 20GWh power storage battery production base project, the total investment in the project is about 10 billion yuan, including fixed assets investment of not less than 6 billion yuan.
On the evening of January 31, EVE made another announcement that its subsidiary, EVE Power, intends to sign a Contract with the Management Committee of Jingmen Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. Investment in Jingmen High-tech Zone for the construction of a 60GWh power storage battery production line and auxiliary facilities project the total project investment of about 10.8 billion yuan, including fixed asset investment of about 8 billion yuan.
On February 1, EVE’s 73GWh factory in the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th districts was put into operation and the groundbreaking ceremony of the “60GWh Super Factory” was held in Jingmen. It is reported that the factory is EVE’s power storage battery production base, with a total investment of 16.6 billion RMB and a capacity of 73 GWh.
On the same morning, the Qujing EVE 23GWh cylindrical lithium iron phosphate energy storage power battery project was also officially launched in Nanhai Science and Technology City, Qujing Economic Development Zone.
It is understood that the Qujing EVE23GWh cylindrical lithium iron phosphate energy storage power battery project with a total investment of 5.5 billion yuan, will build six high-performance lithium-ion battery production lines, an annual production capacity of about 23GWh after mass production. is expected to be completed and put into operation in November 2023, after completion of the annual output value of about 16 billion yuan, the tax contribution of about 600 million yuan.

[Exxon New Energy Yunnan 18GWh Battery Project Starts]
On the morning of January 28th, Dali Exxon New Energy (Xiangyun) Battery Industrial Park project was officially started in Dali, Yunnan. The project is invested in and built by Exxon New Energy, with an estimated total investment of 8.5 billion RMB, and is planned to build an 18GWh battery cell plant and supporting facilities in two phases. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of the year; the second phase of the project is planned to start construction in August this year and is expected to be put into operation in the third quarter of 2024.
Dali Exxon New Energy (Xiangyun) Battery Industrial Park mainly plans to produce products for all-pole lithium iron phosphate large cylindrical cells, with high safety, good consistency, flexible grouping, high production efficiency, and other advantageous features.
[Investment 30.6 billion yuan, Shenghong Group energy storage battery project settled]
January 31, Shenghong Holdings Group’s energy storage battery super factory and new energy battery research institute project signed a contract to settle in Zhangjiagang, the proposed total investment of 30.6 billion yuan, planning capacity of 60 GWh. the project will be implemented in phases after production is expected to exceed 56 billion yuan in annual revenue. The first phase of the 24GWh project and the new energy battery research institute will be implemented after the signing of the contract, with a total investment of 14 billion RMB, and is planned to be completed and put into operation within three years.
It is understood that the project is a major layout for Shenghong Holdings Group to promote the development of the whole new energy industry chain and enter the trillion-dollar energy storage “new track”. The products will be widely used in new energy vehicles, marine power, electric special vehicles, special vehicles and new energy power generation side, grid side, commercial and industrial and home user side, communication base stations, data center energy storage, and other fields.
[LISHEN Chuzhou power battery base construction made a new breakthrough]
On January 31, LISHEN Chuzhou power battery base construction (Phase I) project 2# core plant main steel structure roofing was completed. It is reported that the LISHEN battery Chuzhou base project planning annual output of 36GWh power battery and energy storage battery, with a total investment of about 15.2 billion yuan.
This time, Chuzhou base construction (a) project 2 # core plant, building covers an area of about 64,000 square meters, construction area of about 92,000 square meters. When completed, it will serve as the Chuzhou power lithium-ion battery cell production and manufacturing base, with an expected production capacity of 8GWh.
[LG New Energy Receives 19GWh Battery Order]
LG Energy reportedly announced on February 2 that it has signed a supply agreement with battery manufacturing and sales company FEPS to supply 19GWh of batteries to the company starting in 2024. FEPS will reassemble LG Energy’s batteries into packs for sale to North American electric utility vehicles and electric truck companies after receiving them.
LG New Energy is said to have a capacity of 200 GWh in 2022 and is expected to reach 540 GWh by 2025. the company plans to add 20 GWh of capacity in Europe and 40 GWh of capacity in Asia.
