Can lithium batteries with NMP (N-methylpyrrolidone) solvent added to the raw materials still make the ferry “fly”? !
Follow me on:
——What’s the applications of the lithium batteries which containing NMP (1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone) raw materials?
Environmentally friendly energy is becoming more and more optimistic, and the recyclable NMP (1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone) solvent is also one of the raw materials for environmental protection. The lithium battery using NMP (1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone) solution in the raw material of lithium battery has made a great contribution to the new energy electric vehicle industry.
So what else do you know which industries can be used for lithium batteries( which need NMP/1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone as the solvent) except new energy electric vehicle industry? (The editor wrote in the previous article that lithium batteries have been used in buses and heavy trucks)
[Ferries are also about to use green energy: replace diesel ferries with electric fleets]
On October 4th, the editor learned from overseas platforms that the ferry in Stockholm will also be updated, and the ferry loaded with electricity is about to “take off”! Diesel oil, which is more pollutional, is about to be replaced by environmentally friendly energy – lithium battery (N-methylpyrrolidone solution is used in the raw material).
- The Swedish capital currently relies on more than 60 one-foot-long diesel ferries to provide public transport to the 2.4 million people living in and the people surrounded Stockholm. The city consists of 14 islands in the vast Baltic Sea archipelago.
- The new ferry is expected to be the fastest electric passenger ship in the world, designed by Swedish startup Candela. They plan to launch the first 30-seater vessel in November, before starting commercial operations in 2023 as part of Stockholm’s public transport.
What other industries can lithium batteries which contained NMP (1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone) solution in their raw materials be used in?
According to the editor’s understanding, currently mobile solar panels, wind energy installations, aerospace and other equipment are all applied with new energy lithium batteries (and possibly other rechargeable batteries).
If you know more about the industry, welcome to discuss and exchange~
